The final poll of polls finds Mitt Romney a slight favorite over President Barack Obama in Florida while Sen. Bill Nelson, a Democrat, has a healthy lead over GOP challenger Rep. Connie Mack IV, R-Fort Myers.
The average of polls at realclearpolitics.com shows Romney leading Obama by 1.5% (49.4%-47.9%) in the battle for the Sunshine State’s 29 electoral votes. Meanwhile, Nelson has a 6.5% advantage over Mack (50.0%-43.5%).
